We are looking for expressions of interest from Consultant Cardiologists with imaging skills and echocardiography experience. You will join a team of eight cardiologists, in a teaching hospital environment, providing cardiology services to the region’s 300,000 population.

Together with general cardiology, expertise in cardiac imaging is required. This position supports the echocardiography departments in several locations (requiring a small amount of travel). Experience in reporting paediatric and adult echocardiograms, trans oesophageal echocardiograms and stress studies is required, while other imaging experience, especially cardiac M.R.I, would be advantageous.

The post involves 1 in 8 weeks on-call, covering the acute cardiology service, as well as delivering one clinic per week.

To be considered, you will need to have completed your specialist training and be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
