Consultant Radiologist, Hamilton, New Zealand
We are looking for expressions of interest from Radiologists who have fellowship training in Intervention, Paediatrics or Nuclear Medicine to join one of New Zealand’s largest teaching hospitals.
Based in the Waikato, one of the fastest growing regions in New Zealand, you’re only 1 hr 20 from Auckland International Airport. The work will be a mix of general radiology and half of your time will be rostered in your area of specialty. The Radiology department carries out approximately 200,000 examinations and procedures each year, spread across all of the diagnostic and interventional modalities, including a high proportion of acute work.
The existing team of 20 Consultant Radiologists and 9 Registrars has well established links with all the specialty and subspecialty clinical teams across the DHB. The Department also provides imaging support for a Level 1 Major Trauma Centre.
The hospital has an associated Clinical Medical School, affiliated to the University of Auckland.
Applicants must be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
